Book of Matthew

The book of Matthew was written between 55-65 A.D. to Jewish Christians living in Antioch, Syria. Matthew the Apostle and former tax collector is traditionally accepted as the author. Matthew's goal was to help the Jewish Christians know that Jesus was the Messiah and the fulfillment of Old Testament Scriptures. The Gospel of Matthew was composed in Koine Greek. The book of Matthew is broken down into sections such as the genealogy of Jesus, Jesus' Galilean ministry, parables and end times discourses.
